The holidays for escorts and other ASPs

Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas decorations in all the stores the day after Halloween; it’s that time of the year. Good news and bad news for escorts. Good news because many clients love to follow up a Christmas party with the pleasures an escort can offer, bad news because clients are often caught up with family driven Christmas events and can’t get away. Like any mixed blessing, the Holiday Season for escorts is as much about planning and creativity as it is about an expected fall off in business. Continue reading

Escort as a life coach?

We received a note from an escort in Seattle who wrote, “I was reading your article about the girl in Washington DC who runs her ultra-discreet escorting business under the guise of a life coaching business. I thought that was pretty smart because I do much the same thing but with a fetish twist.”

Of course we wanted to know more and we arranged a Skype call with “Miss Fiona Arpel”. Miss Arpel is in her early thirties and when we video conferenced she was in a lovely, fitted, vintage suit sitting in what looked like a book lined study.

“Nicely headmistress don’t you think?” she said with a smile and we dove into our interview. Continue reading

It doesn’t matter what kind of industry you’re in; repeat business is inherent to your success as an entrepreneur. Adult entertainment providers rely on their customers. #53. A glimpse into the shadows: An insider’s adventures in the world of escorts

The phone is quiet for once and I’m able to sleep until almost 10am. The shrill ringtone that I’ve chosen for the Angel Escorts phone wakes me out of a dream and it takes me a moment to snap back into reality. When my eyes finally open I see that Mike is holding the phone out to me, his own eyes closed. I press the talk button before checking the caller ID, afraid that I might lose the call if I wait any longer to answer it. Continue reading

#52. A glimpse into the shadows: An insider’s adventures in the world of escorts

I arrive at work in a bit of a stupor thanks to another long night spent manning the phones. Taylor insisted on being on until 3am which meant that my little power nap that I took while Sophie handled the phones did nothing to help me actually catch up on sleep. I rolled out of bed this morning wondering just how long I can ultimately survive on 4-5 hours sleep. There’s no way that one girl ran the phones before me, or if she did, no wonder she quit. #51. A glimpse into the shadows: An insider’s adventures in the world of escorts

I push the door open as quietly as I can, checking inside the entry way for shoes. It’s 8pm and this is a popular time for gentleman callers and I want to make sure that Sophie isn’t entertaining anyone. I know she didn’t have any appointments booked for this evening but sometimes her clients will call her up last minute to see if she can accommodate them. Peering down I see that there are no shoes in sight and the coast looks clear. Stepping in the rest of the way I kick off my shoes and toss my purse on the floor next to the door. Leaning up against the wall I let out a long, drawn out sigh. It feels good to be home. Continue reading
